I picked this sculpture because when I first saw it I liked the side profile and clean lines of the sculpture. When i researched this sculpture I learned that her set jaw and her large almond-shaped eyes that gaze downward betray an air of authority and strength that matches the very real power that she enjoyed. The man who sculpted this is Pharaoh Akhenaton, he was not only a radical reformer and an artist but Nefertiti's husband.
