David by Bernini

I chose Bernini's interpretation of David. I think that the position of David's body is more interesting and must have been more challenging to create. I love the definition of his stomach muscles as well as his intense facial expression. My favorite part of the piece is that when I look at it, I feel like I can hear him. It's almost as if whatever he's doing is taking a physical toll on him and I can hear his grunts or heavy breaths.
