I chose this cat by Kiki Smith because cats are my favorite animal. I like how Kiki Smith draws the fur of the cat, it seems very realistic to me. I also like how she takes everyday animals and put her own twist on it. For example, this cat's angry demeanor adds something interesting to the picture. It makes you wonder why she would make the cat look angry and if there is a story that coincides with this picture. I believe Kiki Smith's dark twist on animals is what makes her interesting, even if it is just a simple black cat it can still catch your eye.
